so here is a drawing i did, i sent this and a few other drawing to the annual society of illustrator show for submission and guess what, i did not make it. i was really hoping i would make it and maybe this would be the start of my drawing career, i guess not. I been drawing a comic book for this writer and it was cool and maybe that will get pick up, but now i work as a guy to make sure that whatever graphic design send to print i fix it to the right size. this is a job that is ok but i feel a monkey can do it and the hour are very long and i start in the middle of the day and don't leave to very late at night. It is very hard to be someone who wants to design and draw without knowing someone or getting a lucky break. I am a self taught guy that never went to a famous art school or even college, i don't have friends that draw or even like to draw, i learned everything i know from books and the internet and the few times i met a artist and showed me something i studied it (martin witting is probably the only artist to ever show me something and i really honor that man for taking time to show me things.) i am 26 now and i at the point where do i stop trying to be a design/artist or be account or something else. i know if i got my shot that i would make it. i am a hard worker and i work well in team and by myself, i want to learn more to be better. i have a very simple dream, i want to wake up every morning and design and draw, have a living doing it and see it apart of something. well here i am just bitching and crying, poor me story, it can be worst. well bye 4 now

p.s. i would like to say happy birthday to my father. His birthday was the 20th. i miss my father a lot he died almost 2 and half year ago. Happy Birthday POPS!!!!!

So i been gone for a while so here are some drawings. i am working this summer for a camp teaching kids graphic design and web design at Pace university, so the job is killing me because the job is so far from where i live, so basically i wake up to go to work and take a long trip up there, so i draw while i am on the train. i been doing this for a while and i have to say i love it, so the only really drawing i get to do are these sketches. i remember when i started drawing i never wanted to draw people and that's all i draw, then i said i would never draw realistic and some of those sketches are pretty realistic looking but i still push there shapes around, i am happy the way things are going. well hope you like, tell me what you think. bye 4 now

No skateboards this time, just some old fashion drawing and a little comic strip. So my friend wanted to do a little comic strip, so he wrote it and I illustrated it. i went with a really simple line drawing just with a little texture in the background to make it pop. It is ok i think on my behalf but it was fun to do. I like riding on the subway and drawing people, i do this all the time when i am on the train, so here are a few drawing i did a few days ago. and last is a general type guy i came up with today just drawing around in the good old sketchbook, you know i can't call my sketch book old, i normal finish a sketchbook every two-three months now. well hope you like, tell me what you think. bye 4 now

so i been designing skateboards these days. it has been a lot of fun. I almost feel like a real illustrator. just a bit. Here is all the boards i done so far, the first one is called "skull society" which i posted before the other two are new that i finish this weekend. one is called "dream killerz" and it just has all the type of people who can kill of dreams or goals in life, and the other one was just having fun trying to make it really graphic simple cartoon style. i wanted to use a lot of bright color. well hope you like, tell me what you think. bye 4 now

i am posting my first skateboard design of a company me and my friends are opening up, the company name is ZOOMUNKIE (look out for it). this was a lot of and i will be designing more very soon. (2nd drawing) i went to the society of illustrator today and these were sketches of people on the train. it is funny how many people sleep on the train and also one guy was mad at me for drawing him (guess who i am talking about.)

so things are looking up now, i sent a few people i now and respect the samples of my children's book and i got great reviews so i wrote a full story and i am illustrating it now and it is very fun, i am thinking when i finish the book i might self publish it i don't know yet. Also last weekend i went to the NY Comic con and showed off my work. the people i showed really like my work and thought that i should draw children book's. i also got to meet one of my fav. artist Jose lopez and he was great guy, he gave me great advice on how to give my work some more life and a character design tip. also the last drawing is a drawing i did for art jumble and the topic was Marlo Meekins (who is a great artist, she is just amazing check out her work) well thats it for now, hope you guys like what i did tell me what you think. bye 4 now

I alway wanted to make a living drawing, i want to be a character designer but i love doing graphic design too, then i thought how about children's books. i have found a new love, here i can combine them both, i have been designing tee-shirts and logos for years now and it is great but designing character is just love and fun and creating the world they live in is ever better. i hate drawing backgrounds but when i am creating them for my characters it feels great, i love telling a story in a image, there is something magical about it. well here is my first try at making a children's book, i made a sample of 4 pages about this kid name "Edword" and this cute monster world he lives in, now there is nothing big just a plan story, it was just to see if i can do it and i like it. tell me what you think, if anybody see this blog of nines. well bye 4 now.

Sorry i been gone for a while been very sick, i am normally a person who is only sick like once a year but so far this year i been sick twice once with a stomach Flu, now with a head cold. i have been drawing a bit, but mostly in bed trying to get better. so here a far drawing, the first is some facial expression with a character i like drawing who is been turn into a tattoo drawing for my brother, the second page is me trying to really breakdown a character in really simple shapes. well hope you like. so i been playing around with designing characters, i really wanted to keep the simple shape clear in each character i think it shows most on the viking guy. also i been playing around with coloring my work using a colored ink style i like how it look. but the scanner does not like scanning to many lines so it loses a lot of its color, but it is still cool. well hope you all like tell me what you think, bye 4 now

i been gone for a while so i had to post something. so i did a little santa drawing for fun nothing to crazy, in this drawing i wanted to play with pen and ink and texture, so i went crazy with the brush and pen hope you like. My mentor Martin Wittig draw a lovely naked woman with a big butt on his blog so i like how she look, so i tried my hands on drawing her and i was happy on how she came out, you can tell it is the same woman but two different looks. well hope you all like, tell me what you think bye 4 now

thank you all the great comment on the monkey that was the first time i ever drawn a monkey and it was a lot fun, i will soon draw more monkey and a full body would be nice to. So I been a little busy drawing designs for tee-shirts, it is fun and i really need the money. it is hard out here in this world trying to make a living as a person who loves to draw (artist), but you can't give up. well the skull drawing is somethig i did for fun, drawing evil and wild thing is something i love to draw, i guess it lets out those inner demons. there is a creature holding a gun just came up with it a few nights ago, there is this fury monster i came up with up so i could render the hair like that, it is cool but it takes a long time. and the superhero dude is just a old comic book fan at a con that i came up with a while ago. hope you guy's like tell me what you think. bye 4 now

I was blog surfing tonight when i saw the headline that Comic book artist Mike Wieringo passed away. i am shock and very sadden by this, Mike was one of my idols. He was just amazing to me, i never met him but i feel like a family member has left me. He was a artist that was truth to himself and craft. he will be miss, rest in peace Mike, all your fans miss you and a little piece of all of us died with him today, but he will live on though his work, the stories of others, and what he did for the comic art world.

a fake Ratatouille poster

Here are two new drawings i did for fun. the second drawing was none in my sketchbook just having fun with pens, the color piece is something i did to show my love for the new Pixar movie Ratatouille so i came up with a little fake poster, i just came up with this Chef who looks like a young Mario Batali with the orange shoes. i just can't wait to see this movie, i have the " art of Ratatouille" book and it is great, this was my first art of books and since them i have been getting all the books i can on this subject matter. this book and the open season book are the best. the surf's up book is really great to, if your a background type of person the surf's up book is the one to get, also open season, but the character design section is amazing in open season. these two books also showed me more of the great carter goodrich, that guy is amazing. well here is another long post but i hope you like and thank you to all the great people who look at my blog, bye 4 now.

Here are some things i was working on. i saw on shane prigmore blog that he came up with some baseball players, so i thought that would be fun to draw so i draw a player late that night at around 2:00 in the morning and the other drawings come from my little sketchbook, it is my travel sketchbook and these were draw that i did on the train or playing around at like 2:00 in morning again. maybe i should always draw in the late night. also today i went to the MOCCA event and met a gang of great guy's like Michael Knapp ( who is really kickass artist), Vincent and Peter Nguyen (these two guys make drawing seem so easy), Robert Mackenzie ( who is just amazing and really cool), Willie Real (who is amazing, cool, and gave me some great tips to grow as a artist), and Nash Dunnigan ( who i have so much in common with and had a really long and fun talk with about Graffiti). It was also amazing to see how so many artist love and know so much about graffiti art. see, i started drawing because of graffiti and it is in my blood, just love it and what it stands for, freedom and love of art. well today was a long post but i hope you guys like the story and my work. bye 4 now

Well here is a drawing i did a while ago and i like it so i colored it in illustrator, this was fun i am trying to really get a clean, well put together style using illustrator and using photoshop layer modes for the little pop factor, i believe it is working well. i was just designing different looks of clothes so when i started i was design the clothes and when i finish i said this would be something producer Jazzy Pha would wear, so i drawn in Jazzy Pha. this was fun, well hope you guys like. I was not to happy with the last drawing so i did this one,i like this one a lot better.also i learned alot about design and style while working with illustrator.simple round shapes are more pleasing to the eye and work better for coloring.well i hope you guy like it,tell me what ya think.bye 4 now

Here is one sheet in my sketchbook but my scanners not that long so i split apart the page. i was in the mood to show you guy the way i normally draw, i been showing a lot of simple style cartoons,a style a lil more for TV, here is my comicbook type drawing style. this just has a lil more detail but still has those wild shapes of design.a friend of mines was talking about history so i sketch these cartoons with a old english look,hope you guys like.bye 4 now

Here is something i put together this evening.one of my fav. artist is Mr. Silver, and i been watching alot of his sgow that he work for like kim possible,and i just did some drawings in that style at also helps me loosen up.i meet him in the Ny comic com and he was very nice and look happy to meet his fans and i will be seeing him again i hope at the nexy NY comic con in feb. so all i have to say is thank you Mr.Silver.

Here are two other cast members.Andrew was just made because i had this drawing and i felt it was a fun person to draw.
